National Pro Bono Week event

Registration is closed for this event
Date: Tuesday 7 November 2017 Time: 6.00pm to 8.00pm Venue: Gowling WLG, Two Snow Hill, Snowhill Queensway, Birmingham, B4 6WR

Over the last 12 months, lawyers across the UK have provided pro bono legal advice and assistance to those affected by tragic events such as the London and Manchester terror attacks and the Grenfell Tower fire.  To mark National Pro Bono Week 2017, the Birmingham Law Society Pro Bono Committee invites you to hear from those involved in coordinating pro bono responses in times of overwhelming and urgent need.  Our speakers will share their reflections on the difference that pro bono support made, how they mobilised in the wake of urgent events and what lessons they learned that might be useful to others.

This event is also an opportunity for Birmingham Law Society members to network and link up with charitable organisations and advice agencies from across the city who need your help. Come and find out how you can volunteer your time and legal expertise to improve the lives of some of the most vulnerable people in our region.

Drinks and nibbles will be provided.

Time: 5.30pm - 8pm

Date: Tuesday 7 November 2017

Venue: Gowling WLG, Two Snowhill, Snowhill Queensway, Birmingham, B4 6WR
