SRA spam e-mail alert
Birmingham Law Society is aware that many solicitors’ firms have received e-mail messages purporting to be from the SRA, some of which refer to pending investigations.
These have been sent from an e-mail account that does not end in @sra.org.uk
These e-mails do not originate from the SRA.
The e-mail will state that the SRA has received a complaint about the firm and quotes the firm’s name and SRA number.
An attachment to the e-mail is supposed to contain the details of the complaint.
However, the attachment contains a virus and we advise you not to open the attachment.
