Tuesday, 3rd August 2010The cost of qualifying to become a solicitor is beginning to prove a major barrier to entry to the profession especially for those from under privileged backgrounds. Law graduates looking to become a solicitor need to complete a Legal Practice Course (LPC) before undertaking a two-year training contract with a law firm. Non-law graduates need to sandwich a conversion course, the Common Professional Examination (CPE), between graduation and the LPC.
